things on my mind, things i've been up to
i've finally been working on this site. i struggled for a while to find a theme, when i realized that i didn't have to go very far (my lifelong nickname)! i found the caramel LINE emoji, and i immediately knew that was the perfect vibe.
it's been fun going back to basics with just html and css. goodbye, react, next.js, tailwind!
this design uses warm browns, creamy whites, and that golden caramel color that i really love. hope you like it too!
cause no one else is gonna feed me but me! pms made me crave a cheeseburger, and because i hate ordering food and i didn't want to leave my apt, all i had was a muffin, beef, cheese, a mustard and honey sauce and spinach (because i need greens in every meal i cook). i was too tired to make fries, so i had chips instead. and honestly, it actually turned out good.
i also made some simple green curry with an already made paste. cook the paste in oil for a bit, add coconut milk and chicken bouillon. then add eggplant and broccoli and let the magic do its thing. i served it with white rice and red lentils. it was so good.
it's been so cold lately, so i've been spending a lot of evenings playing games with a blanket and some jasmin tea. here are some of my favorites right now:
hollow knight: silksong -- the long-awaited sequel. act 3 is brutal! i have adored my time spent exploring Pharloom, but you know it's time to stop when every game sessions give you migraines and the harrowing feeling of unworthiness, lol. (gotta end with a lol or i'll kms) ps: i love u sherma
silent hill f -- women's stories matter, they just matter, and this one hits a bit close to home
wanderstop -- a narrative-centric cozy game about change and tea. while i wasn't much interested in the central gameplay mechanic, the game design choice of letting players do what they want when they want with absolutely no pressure and no interest in productivity in a genre that rarely allows such liberty was like a breath of fresh air.
